Nurnberg were under a lot of pressure in the last round in Berlin and that is why it is no wonder that Von Hessen’s players gave one of the weakest performances in the season.
Coach Von Hessen decided to field a one-forward formation but with a quite offensive midfield. Czech international Koller will be alone in the attack, while Charisteas, Mintal and Saenko will support him from the midfield. One of the biggest advantages for the home side will be the fans, who will support their favourites in an attempt to end the negative run of five winless matches against Schalke. In the mentioned five matches Nurnberg managed to beat Schalke keepers only once and the last home win they marked over Blues was in 1999. Standard keeper Blazek again won’t be in front of the net, since he is injured, aas well as Glauber, Kluge, Weber, Reinhardt, Kammermeyer, Kling and Szikal.
