For Real Salt Lake, it's almost been a tale of two seasons. At Rice-Eccles Stadium, they've been unbeatable, one of two unbeaten clubs at home still left in MLS. On the road, well, they've struggled, with just one win in seven games. They play host to the Houston Dynamo on MLS Primetime Thursday as the teams meet for the first time, tied for second place in the Western Conference. The Dynamo have draws in their last two games but are winless in their last three, and have won just four games in defense of their back-to-back MLS titles.
The Kansas City Wizards put an end to their long winless run while stopping Real Salt Lake's record unbeaten streak, getting the game's only goal through an own goal for a 1-0 victory last Saturday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. RSL sits tied for second place in the Western Conference with 19 points from 15 matches, level with the Houston Dynamo, two behind the LA Galaxy.
