Los Angeles Galaxy continues playing extremely high scoring football. After 2 wins and 1 draw LA lost against DC United 1-4 last week. Now Galaxy will be looking for points against MLS leader New England.
Team news: Charles Alamo and Josh Wicks are out for LA, while Peter Vagenas is doubtful. Gary Flood, Wells Thompson, Amaechi Igwe and Khano Smith are all doubtful for the guests.
Galaxy has great offense. Their total goal difference is 32-28 after 14 matches played. That is more than 4 goals per game on average. LA’s Landon Donovan (11 matches / 11 goals) and Edson Buddle (11 / 10) are the top scorers of the league. New England’s average game on the road finishes with 2.5 goals scored.
This should be just another attacking game for LA. With great players in attack LA can score twice, but I can’t imagine them keeping a clean sheet against league leaders as their defense is the worst in the league. Over is a logical choice here.
