The leaders of their respective conferences to start the week meet in a July 4 special at The Home Depot Center when the Los Angeles Galaxy entertain the New England Revolution. Twice opponents in the MLS Cup Final, this year the Revolution own the best record in the league at the halfway point, while the Galaxy have paced the Western Conference for more than a month. Both teams come off high-profile matches last weekend: the Revolution ensured Steve Nicol will guide the MLS All-Stars with a win against Toronto FC, while the Galaxy went down to defeat to D.C. United on a special Sunday afternoon at RFK Stadium.
