After the arrival of Zdenek Zeman, things did not start the best way for Crvena Zvezda, but it is mostly due to bad management, who are having troubles controlling the club as big as Zvezda. The Serbs played inconsistently throughout the game in Cyprus, and showed a lot of weaknesses, as well as some good things. APOEL conceded the first goal of the game, but they managed to get back into the game, and were constantly pushing forward. They were denied the win by the beautiful goal from Burzanović, though Zvezda could win the game through Trickovski. The game ended at 2:2, which gives both teams chances to go through.
