Ernests Gulbis is playing some great tennis in latest months, he is a great hardcourter as he can play very well aggressive style, beside the fact that he possess a great serve and can play very well serve-and-volley, he is a great player in rallys and here will be his advantage if Andy Roddick won't keep his aggresion at his best level. The American comes after a fantastic victory over Santoro, a match where he had dominated all the game, but I have to say that Santoro is not stable as he is a player who change his tactic a lot and against Andy really didn't worked. Anyway, Andy looked back in form as he had played much better than in others tournaments before the U.S. Open and this victory will give him confidence. Despite Gulbis had won 7-5 6-1 7-6 against Thomas Johansson, a score which show that wasn't a easy game for him, I have to say that Johansson had played an unexpected tennis as he showed a lot of quality, and not only serve. All in all, this should be a very nice game as both players are great players, but where Gulbis is surely playing better than 40th Rating Position, he is a young talented player with great potential and he had started the U.S. Open very well, so I can't see Andy such favourite as these odds suggests.
