Cambuur improved a lot this summer by bringing some high class players for Jupiler League level and results haven't failed to appear. Winger Maachi from Utrecht, Agovv's goalscorer Ruud ter Heide, Den Bosch's important defender Beekmans or powerfull striker De Vries from Dundee UTD have all settled at their new team and started producing good football. Cambuur won at Veendam 3-0, followed by a good 2-0 win over promotion rivals VVV Venlo at their own stadium and last week they crushed Emmen 6-2. Their only loss came at the hands of Zwolle in an away match, but Zwolle definetly is a good team and their results so far aren't a surprise. Den Bosch was and still is year by year a promotion contender, but having failed so many times made some basic team players leave the club. Hristov, Coutinho and Beekmans are 3 of them. despite playing 3 of the 4 matches at home they could only get a win and that coming against one of the weaker sides of this league Agovv, 2-0 at home. A 2-2 draw with RKC at home, a 2-2 draw at Stormvogels Telstar after being 2 goals down at a time as well as last week's 3-1 loss at home against a good but not great MVV side aren't good signs for a team which is expected to compete for promotion. Confidence is flying high in Cambuur, the new signings are playing great and they'll be more than happy to get another win against one of the high rated teams of the league.
