Dinara Safina reached her second Grand Slam semi-final of the year
The Russian sixth seed will face now Serena
Safina had never been beyond the quarter-finals of any Grand Slam before reaching the final at the French Open in May, when she was beaten in straight sets by Ana Ivanovic.
Fourth seed Serena Williams showed outstanding resilience to beat her sister Venus in straight sets and book her place in the US Open semi-finals.
26-year-old Wlliams, who won the US Open title in 1999 and 2002 is absolutely convinced that she could win the tournament this year.
I myself think that Williams will win this game but Safina will manage to win 1 set or win at least 9 games in the match.
In case Safina fail to win a set, I still could win:
6-7 4-6 = 23 games ! That will be enough for me.
Many people will put their money on Safina. @3.40 is quite tempting odds but my advice is either to bet on Williams or on over 22.5 games.
