Flavia Pennetta was fantastic towards the U.S. Open, and impressed big. Pennetta took a lot of effort in the week U.S. Open Series lasted, and she took a well deserved holiday afterwards. The Italian number one was completely nonchalant in Tokyo last week, and she didn't work at all in the fight against Vinci. I think Pennetta will have trouble keeping the maximum shape from August and September, and she seems to be a bit tired and fed up.
Kateryna Bondarenko is in very good shape, and she beat Kirilenko round 1. Kirilenko was beaten in the decisive tiebreak, so Bondarenko is full of confidence.
Ukraine had to play at their best in order to win this leg with the 2009 campion, Italy.
Yes it will be very hard for Bondarenko sisters to eliminate Pennetta and Schiavone, the defending champions.

Katerina had a worse star this year loosing in second round at Hobart and Australian Open while Pennetta reached F at Auckland, QF at Sydney and second round at Australian Open.
Katerina had as best results last year two QF and will have a hard task to win this game with one of the most completed players from WTA Tour.
My pick here Pennetta to win this one, a better player with more weapons to win a match and especially after Schiavone is not fully fit and she has to win both games in this tie.
